Cambridge, just a 45 minute train ride from London, is home to 22,000 students and one of the fastest growing areas in Britain. It’s combination of beautiful gothic architecture, tranquil punting on the river Cam and botanic gardens make it one of the most visited cities in the UK. However as you would expect with such a large population of students Cambridge offers much more than stunning scenery. A fantastic selection of cafes, restaurants, and pubs are complemented by the full range of High Street Shops.

The Junction
The Junction has been a student favourite for many years with over 1,500 shows per year ranging from dance to rock bands. Regular appearances by international and local acts such as Blur, The Arctic Monkeys and Jamiroquai at The Junction or the famous Corn Exchange, means students can always get their music fix. There is also a thriving cultural scene with venues such as Kettles Yard offering exhibitions, plays, concerts and the renowned Fitzwilliam Museum displaying an impressive range of art and antiquities.

Cambridge is well known for its love of sports ranging from tennis, badminton, cricket, ultimate frisbee and football and of course rowing. With its beautiful wide open green spaces, which are located in the city centre such as Parker’s Piece, Jesus Green and Lammas Land students can join the friendly locals in an impromptu game of football or ultimate frisbee.

Today it is also known as a centre of technological innovation, due to the growth of High-Tech industry.
